Vitreous Enamel (VE) Panels

Punggol Coast PSC

Singapore – Punggol Coast Station has been conceived as a seamless extension of the Punggol Digital District (PDD), embodying the forward-looking vision of the Land Transport Authority (LTA). At the heart of the station lies Singapore’s first naturally ventilated sunken courtyard within an MRT station, complete with amphitheater-style seating.

This open civic space serves as both a social hub and a vibrant shared environment for the community. By integrating architecture with community life, the design delivers a space that is not only functional but also inviting.

“The design integrates architecture and community, creating a space that is both functional and inviting,” said Shyue-Jiun Woon, Architect.

The station also features a prominent art installation, “Trajectories” by local artist Zul Othman (Zero). Positioned within the concourse, this large -scale artwork draws inspiration from the artist’s childhood memories of Punggol, weaving local identity into the commuter experience.

The Passenger service counter sits proudly in the concourse and is fitted out with Light Gauge Vitreous Enamel Steel for Wall and Canopy covering of the passenger Service Counter.

Complementing the art, the Passenger service Counter is clad in Light gauge Vitreous Enamel Steel for both its wall and canopy coverings. The durable material ensures longevity while contributing to the sleek, contemporary architectural finish of the station’s interior.

Shyue Juin Woon said he was inspired by Little India Station as he would walk pass Little India Station every morning on his way to office at Hampshire Road Office.
